Hand Operated Tools

Hand operated tools are tools that are operated by hand. They typically consist of a frame, called a handle, mounted on a lever arm, or hickory staff. They can vary in length from just over a foot to six feet or more. Some tools may be two-handed and require both hands to control the tool while others may be single-handed with one hand on the handle and the other hand on the lever arm.
